Real estate is a service industry (not a products industry). Service industries, especially, need to acknowledge the central importance of the consumer (i.e. client) in their success targets. Think of a target or dart board – the customer is central. And, to my surprise, a nationwide newsletter linked to the article I linked to, which mentioned a large real estate conference where the “consumer centric” approach to real estate was presented as a new innovation.
That can’t be accurate, right?! Well, believe it or not (you’d be surprised), the point is that the consumer is the target. And to target the consumer, you have to not only deliver the goods but deliver the goods well.
Consumers (and Realtors, when they think about it) want video – both Buyers and Sellers – because it’s the goods. That’s right, video is the goods. Buyers want video because it’s not realistic to physically visit 5 homes every day of the week. They use the Internet to gather as much information about a property to determine if it might be what they’re looking for. Video shows off the house like nothing else. And Sellers want video because Buyers want video, and because it’s effective, entertaining, and enjoyable.
TourKick provides media and technology solutions with a focus on the real estate industry – so our services are provided to those in the service industry (we serve those who serve). That’s why we work hard to provide a lot of value and ease of use. No doubt about it, we deliver a TKO – the goods delivered well.

Video is Consumer-Centric, both for Buyers and Sellers
